Dr Robert Lecons

I graduated from Adelaide University in 1994, and underwent generalist training at Modbury hospital before entering General Practice training. I first joined Kapunda Medical Practice for 6 months as a GP registrar in 1996. Subsequently I trained in obstetrics in Brimingham, UK and Anaesthetics at Modbury Hospital. I rejoined KMP in January 1999, joining Dr Van Dissel in associateship in November 2004.

I continue to practice Anaesthetics in addition to General Practice duties.

I am married to Julie, and we have with two primary school aged children; Sam and Amy. They attend St John’s Lutheran school at Eudunda. We enjoy outdoor activities, and are active members of Barossa Community Church in Tanunda.

I am a very keen (if not elite!) cross country cyclist and I also play competitive tennis. I am a bit of a technophile, and enjoy tinkering as a handyman.

I am a general practice Supervisor for the Registrar and Intern GP training, and enjoy a busy Obstetric practice.

While living on a farm, I enjoy playing part time farmer and are also involved in the Kapunda Cricket Club as a player and a coach.

I am married to Kerrie (a Pathologist) and have 3 children, Jonathan 14, William 11 and Georgia 9.

Dr Yvonne Amos

I graduated from Adelaide University in 1980 and then trained at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for two years before moving to Sydney.

In Sydney I started part time general practice while being busy with three young children. I have since been in general practice in Balgowlah, Dee Why, Manly, Fairlight and for five years in Terrey Hills in my own solo practice.

In late 2007 we moved back to South Australia and I worked at Two Wells for six months, before moving to Kapunda in April 2008.

I am married to Andrew, a Software Engineer, who is now studying theology and ministering at Gawler Baptist Church. Our, now grown up, children continue to live in Sydney.

We enjoy Square Dancing at Elizabeth each week and exploring the great outdoors.
